Recommendations for presenters, both In presence and Virtual
The Program at a glance summarizes the various sessions during the conference days, and the Detailed Program lists all papers in all sessions.
The time is referred to as the local Venue time, Galatasaray University, Istanbul (Eastern European Summer Time TC+3).
The presenter is kindly request to participate actively to the session where her/his paper is included.
Each presentation will last 20 minutes, including the time to setup the presentation and the questions at the end of the presentation.
The templates for facilitating the presentation preparation are available online.
Each presenter has to access the virtual or physical room at least 10 minutes in advance and contact the Session Chair in case she/he needs help.
We kindly ask presenters to adhere to the following recommendations to ensure a high-quality and seamless session for all participants:
-
Content Suitability: Ensure that your presentation content is appropriate for and respectful of a multicultural scientific audience.
-
Copyrighted Audio: Do not include any copyrighted music or audio clips in your presentation. The use of such material may lead to copyright claims that could result in the session's audio being muted or the session being terminated.
-
Copyrighted Images: All photos and images used in your presentation must be your original work or verifiably free from copyright restrictions.
Presentations made by playing a video are not permitted.
Recommendations for virtual presenters
It is essential that virtual presenters become familiar with the Jitsi software in time so as to avoid last-minute surprises and, above all, to be able, in full autonomy, to enter into the session's discussion without delays or wasted time.
For this purpose, there is a test room available. We recommend rehearsing with colleagues for screen sharing, which will be crucial during the presentation, checking that there are no problems with the PC that the presenter will be using, particularly with regard to the microphone and camera, etc.. Great care and attention must be paid to providing the software with permissions for microphone and camera use.
We kindly ask presenters to adhere to the following recommendations to ensure a high-quality and seamless session for all participants:
-
Technical Requirements: Please present from a quiet location with a stable internet connection to ensure optimal audio quality.
-
The Technical Assistant will start the Jitsi videoconference room shortly before your session begins. Access is not possible until then. Before your session, please test your setup, including your microphone, camera, and screen sharing. We recommend practicing with a colleague to ensure everything works correctly.
