The purpose of this workshop is to collect and promote the professional best practices and the cutting-edge research results related to the geospatial technologies that support the sustainable planning and development of modern, sustainable, accessible and livable cities worldwide, while the goal of the workshop is to provide space for learning, discussing and exchanging ideas about possible approaches in implementing geospatial and other technologies for resolving an increasing number of our modern cities’ issues. Integrated Mobility; Urban Mobility; Sustainable Transport Systems; Technological Innovation;MaaS; Mobility Services: Intermodal Hubs; Regional Connectivity The proposal of this workshop is connected to the e_INS Project (Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia”, Spoke 8), aimed at developing a MaaS in Sardinia region as a case study. In this sense, the e.INS project will apply these new travel and mobility services to the entire transport system (urban, metropolitan, local, and regional), through a comprehensive integration both with the local system of activities and services and with new ICT technologies, which will increasingly influence the methods of access to transport services as well. Within this framework, the analysis of land use and urban planning in relation to transport systems and the offer of the multiple services available, not always adequately known and integrated, represents the first step to develop sustainable transport systems and new mobility services at different territorial scales. The workshop will host original contributions coming from scholars, institutions, entrepreneurs, policy makers, etc., interested in investigating approaches, methods, and tools to develop MaaS solutions in cities and regions to respond to the travel needs of both the local community and city-users.

Starting from these premises, MEETA (Multidimensional Evolutionary Evaluations for Transformative Approaches) is an established workshop proposal for the ICCSA Conference aiming to explore frameworks and applications supporting and guiding transformation processes that deal with complex challenges in the urban environment. First, MEETA aims to develop a critical reflection on current innovative and cross-disciplinary practices, in which the employment of evaluation approaches as decision-support systems has been recognised as essential. Secondly, MEETA aims to discuss the role of multi-criteria analysis, evaluation methods and tools, in supporting the development and management of urban transformations at different spatial scales.
